This
is made by Pearl Musical Instrument as well.
It was originally a prototype that was available in Pearl's USA
Office.
It has 4ply (5mm) shell of African Mahogany with maple reinforcement
ring on top and bottom.
It is a very rare model, when I purchased it was not available in
Japan.
I use 8~15' inch! It specially sounds soft and warm with great depth
which is quite different from the ones made by maple and birch wood.
