The shell is solid maple - One piece with die-cast hoop.
I can hear each tone very clearly because of its spec.
Also it can specially note that 3 types of snare wires can be independently
adjusted by its strainer system.
This mechanism enables players to perform in much wider range than
regular snare drums.
It was jointly designed and developed by Pear's R&D and Tom Freer
